Synthesis

Grant McCracken's "The Evocative Power of Things" focus on material culture. It states how everyone wants bigger and better things. In turn it is able to relate to Andrew Laperriere's House of Cards which presents the same argument. People will go out of their way to have bigger and better things even if it means having to lie about their income.
